Mercedes-Benz Human Resources Intern 2026

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg is a high-tech site for drive components for electric mobility. In addition, it produces the traditional product areas of axles and axle components, steering columns and lightweight structural parts, as well as exhaust technology components. 

The team is responsible for advising and supporting managers. We ensure compliance with personnel and labor policy, legal, and collective bargaining frameworks and implement established process standards. Furthermore, our team advises and supports managers in all personnel-related matters. We also guarantee needs-based staffing through targeted transfers, recruitment, and personnel development measures. 

These tasks and challenges await you: 

• You're right in the thick of things, not just a bystander: You oversee the operational process of temporary staffing – from planning to the successful onboarding of flexible personnel at a high-tech production site.
• You work at crucial interfaces: in close coordination with experienced HR colleagues, you coordinate issues between managers, works council and external service providers – and experience how modern HR work functions in practice.
• You will learn about core HR processes: You will participate in labor policy and labor law issues and prepare documents, e.g., for coordination with the works council, under the guidance of the responsible specialists.
• You help shape transformation: You support current projects related to the transformation of an industrial site towards electromobility as well as cross-site topics.
• You understand how performance is evaluated: together with compensation experts, you analyze pay structures and support job evaluations, workload analyses and complaint cases – directly at the point of action.
• You will learn about our idea management system: You will support the idea management process, where employees suggest improvements for our processes.
• You will also experience HR on a legal level: You will accompany experienced HR professionals to appointments at the labor court and gain insights into practical labor law cases.
• You will support us in the development of our employees: You will get to know the exciting field of modern personnel development.
• You are part of the decision-making process: You participate in the selection of applicants, prepare for and attend job interviews.

The work can begin from August 2026.

Requirements for Mercedes-Benz Internship Internship Qualification

• Degree program in business administration, psychology, education or a comparable field of study  
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Confident use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)  
• IT affinity is desirable  
• Commitment, pioneering spirit and teamwork  
• Analytical thinking and proactive work methods  
• Communication skills and a confident demeanor
