Our Data & AI for RD (Research & Development) team at Mercedes-Benz is driving digital transformation in research and development. We use state-of-the-art technologies and innovative approaches to analyze large data sets and develop intelligent solutions.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

Data Engineering

• Analysis and processing of large and heterogeneous datasets as a basis for machine learning and GenAI applications
• Data cleansing, transformation, and modeling, primarily in the Azure Cloud, especially with Azure Databricks. 

Agent Development (Multi?Agent Systems)

• Development of AI agents in the context of multi-agent frameworks
• Integration of tools and data sources to extend agent functionality
• Evaluation of the response quality of agents with regard to correctness, relevance and consistency

Semantic Modeling & Knowledge Graphs:

• Modeling knowledge using Semantic Web standards (RDF, OWL, SHACL) and building knowledge graphs
• Using semantic models as a structured knowledge base for GenAI applications and agents

Support with setting up the cloud instance

• Supporting the team with IT-related tasks, especially in the area of ??cloud services (primarily Azure), Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participation in innovative projects with the opportunity to contribute and implement your own ideas.

Requirements for Mercedes-Benz Intern Internship Qualification

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Experience in data engineering and familiarity with tools such as Azure Databricks
• Knowledge of programming languages ??and technologies such as Python, SQL, PySpark
• Basic knowledge of cloud technologies (especially Azure), containerization with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Ideally, practical experience in the areas of Agentic AI and Knowledge Graphs (Semantic Web)
• Enthusiasm for innovative technologies and a willingness to learn about new subject areas
• Commitment and teamwork
• Analytical thinking and strategic working methods
