The Rastatt plant is the competence center for Mercedes-Benz compact vehicle models. As part of the production network, our team in Rastatt and Kuppenheim manufactures essential body components for the compact class. Various pressed parts are combined using different joining processes to create assemblies for the vehicle body. Fully automated production with numerous robots offers an exciting environment for an internship in the automotive sector during this era of increasing digitalization. The internship will take place at the body-in-white production facilities in the Rastatt plant and the body-in-white production area in Kuppenheim. This provides the opportunity to gain experience at two production sites.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Implementation of projects to optimize production with regard to cycle time and plant availability
• Participation in the production-related implementation of the new vehicle generation
• Analysis of production data and use of big data for intelligent optimization of production processes
• Preparation and participation in workshops with partner departments to identify solutions for production-related issues
• Participation in problem-solving processes, employee training and certifications

The work can begin from August/September 2026.

Requirements for Mercedes-Benz Internship Internship Qualification

• Degree program in the field of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, economics or comparable engineering studies
• Fluent German skills, both spoken and written
• Analytical thinking and strategic working methods
• Commitment and creativity
• Confident use of MS Office
