Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships 2026

Applications are now open for the 2026 Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships, supporting aspiring health and safety professionals to develop the skills and knowledge needed to make workplaces safer worldwide.

The scholarships offer fully funded online study for the NEBOSH Level 6 National or International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals. Twenty scholarships are available, awarded to both UK?based and international learners.

The scholarships are named in memory of Michael Adamson, who lost his life in a preventable workplace incident. They reflect NEBOSH’s ongoing commitment to improving workplace health, safety and wellbeing by widening access to professional education.

Aim and Benefits of Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarship

• Twenty winners – seven National (UK) and thirteen International learners – will be awarded paid-for study and assessment fees for the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals.

• The Diploma and this scholarship are designed to help learners develop the knowledge and practical application they need to succeed in the workplace, advance their careers and keep people safe from harm.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarship

Applicants must answer all questions, provide all required information and meet the minimum criteria of holding a NEBOSH National or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety to be considered for judging. Applications will be judged by an expert panel who are:

• Dee Arp, NEBOSH Chief Operating Officer
• Matt Powell-Howard, NEBOSH Head of Learning and Partnerships
• Yasmina Emad, NEBOSH Diploma holder and Safety Officer at AngloGold Ashanti in Egypt
• Simon Toseland, NEBOSH Diploma holder and Health & Safety Director at BE Design in the UK
• Louise Adamson, sister of Michael Adamson after whom this scholarship is named

The winners will be notified by email on or before 02 July 2026.

Recipients must acknowledge and accept the prize by 08 July 2026.

14 July 2026 Public announcement of 2026 scholarship recipients.

31 October 2026 Winners must begin their studies before this date.
