New York University 2025 Yellow Ribbon Program

New York University 2025 Yellow Ribbon Program

The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program may be available to you as a veteran attending New York University.

The program is a scholarship designed to help students supplement their Post 9/11 GI Bill® tuition benefits and was instituted as a provision as part of the Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.

As part of the program:

  • Eligible veteran students can receive grants from NYU to use toward tuition and fees. Veterans’ Affairs (VA) will then match our contribution.
  • The amount of the Yellow Ribbon award is determined by the amount you receive through other benefits provided to you as an eligible student. As a result, you may not qualify for the maximum amount each year.
  • Your Post 9/11 benefits will be applied toward tuition and fees first.
  • You must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements to continue to be eligible for Yellow Ribbon funding.
