Newcastle University (Officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England. The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871. £7,000 tuition fee awards


Requirements for Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Qualification

To be considered for awards applicants must:

  • Be domiciled in of one of the following countries/regions: Bangladesh, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, USA and Vietnam
  • Have been offered a place to study on an eligible Master’s degree course at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic year
  • Be assessed as international for fee purposes

Eligible candidates will be assessed as part of their academic application.
