Requirements for Nottingham Law School Dean’s Barristers Training Course (BTC) Scholarship Qualification
All interested applicants for Nottingham Law School Dean’s Barristers Training Course (BTC) Scholarship 2021 are expected to meet the following eligibility criteria;
- Applicants from any nationality are eligible.
- Applicants are only eligible for consideration of a scholarship award if they have been offered a place on the Barristers Training Course (BTC) or the LLM Barristers Training Course (LLM BTC).
- Students who are sponsored by their employers, government, or funding body (in full or in part) are not eligible to receive this scholarship award. Likewise students who are awarded an Inns Scholarship, the sum of which exceeds £8,500 for the BTC or £10,000 for the LLM BTC, are not eligible to receive this scholarship award.
- Please do not send your scholarship application before or with your application to study at NTU. You must have received an offer of a place on an eligible course with NTU before submitting your scholarship application.
- Applicants may only apply for a scholarship once per academic year per offer of a place on a qualifying course.
- The scholarship deadline is 4 pm GMT on 30 June 2021. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
- Scholarships of up to a maximum of half the tuition fee are available. The awarding committee may choose to award a part scholarship.
- The scholarship will be available in the form of a tuition fee reduction. If you are awarded a scholarship, your fee will be adjusted before enrolment.
- If you are awarded any other scholarship, bursary and / or fee reduction from the University the maximum amount awarded will not exceed more than half the tuition fee.
- The scholarship is not transferable and will not be awarded if you choose to defer your entry to a different start date, or if you choose to transfer to a different course at the University. Students must re-apply for the scholarship
