NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholars are well-rounded individuals who are committed to contributing to NUS’ performing and/or visual arts scene.

NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship
Aim and Benefits of NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship
- Subsidised tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant subsidy)
- S$6,000 annual living allowance
- S$5,100 annual accommodation allowance if scholar is staying on campus
- Guaranteed Student Exchange Programme (SEP) placement with one of NUS overseas partner universities for one semester (not applicable for NUS Medicine and Dentistry undergraduate programmes)
- Priority to be considered for on-campus accommodation for the first two years of undergraduate studies, as long as a complete hostel admission application is submitted by the second round of application window each year, and eligibility criteria for on-campus accommodation are met. This priority applies only to halls of residence, houses and student residences, and not to residential colleges
- Bond-free scholarship
Requirements for NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship Qualification
- Singapore Citizens
- Have strong leadership qualities and potential
- Have good co-curricular activities record, particularly in performing and/or visual arts
- Possess good Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Level, local Polytechnic Diploma, International Baccalaureate Diploma, NUS High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS
- Transfer applicants from local or overseas universities are not eligible
Interview date, Process and Venue for NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship
- The NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship is awarded to freshmen pursuing a full-time undergraduate programme at NUS, excluding Music, and is tenable for the normal candidature period. The scholarship may be transferred to all programmes except Music.
- Scholarship recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award, allowance, waiver or free aid without prior approval from the University.
- The scholarship will be renewed every semester provided the scholarship recipient maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 (or equivalent), has good conduct and participates and contributes to NUS’ performing and/or visual arts scene throughout their candidature.
- If the scholarship recipient decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the University reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the scholar.
