Requirements for Peter and Traudl Engelhorn Foundation Scholarship Fellowship Qualification
- Studies and doctorate in a subject of natural sciences, pharmacy or medicine with above-average results.
- The doctoral thesis must not have started more than 9 years prior, and its completion (date of the doctoral examination) must not have occurred more than 4 years prior. Interruptions in academic activity due to maternity leave and parental leave are taken into account up to a maximum of 1 year per child.
- The research must be conducted at a scientific institute in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
Documents Required for Application
- Completed data sheet
- Letter of motivation (max. 1 page)
- Description of the research project (max. 6 pages, including 1 page for the description of the research objective and its relevance, excluding bibliography)
- Tabular CV
- Certificates (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, etc.), whereby only the examination certificates should be submitted, not the entire examination documentation; proof of a completed doctoral examination can be submitted until December 31st of the current year.
- current list of publications
- Letters of recommendation from at least two recognized scientists, which, if desired, can be sent directly to the foundation by their authors.
- Commitment from the research institution to enable the project
By submitting applications, the foundation gains access to the applicants' personal data. This data is treated with absolute confidentiality and is used solely for the purpose of making a reasoned selection from the pool of applicants.
If an applicant is selected for a scholarship, their data will be securely stored. Applications that are not selected will be kept for 24 months to allow for comparison in the event of a future application, and then deleted. Deletion can be carried out earlier upon special request.
