• Journalist Fellowship Program are fully funded.
• Successful applicants get their fees covered and receive a a monthly stipend of £2,000, which will cover the cost of accommodation, food, and general living expenses.
• Journalist Fellowship Program will also cover the cost of travel to and from the UK and any visa costs

Requirements for University of oxford Reuters Institute Journalist Qualification

• The Journalist Fellowships are open to journalists from all over the world, including Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Latin America.
• Journalist applicants must have a minimum of five years’ journalistic experience, or in rare cases demonstrate the equivalent level of expertise.
• Journalist applicants receive offers to study at Oxford will be required to demonstrate their proficiency in English in order to fulfil the conditions of their offer.

How to Apply

The application centre for the 2021/2022 fellowship cohorts (starting in October 2021, January 2022 and April 2022) is now open.

The final deadline for applications is 8 February 2021 (23:59 UK time). Successful applicants for October 2021 will hear from us by 12 April 2021.

When applying, you need to upload:

• A one-page personal statement about why you want to join this programme, and how you will apply your research project when you return to work.
• A project proposal that would benefit the news industry in your country or company. The proposal should be between 800-1200 words, and should outline the questions you hope to answer and how you propose to answer them during your time with us.
• Two professional references. 
• A CV/resume that includes your current job title and company (with links to their site), career history, and education history.
