The Rhodes scholarship covers tuition and provides an annual stipend covering living expenses for study at the University of Oxford.
a. Nationality/citizenship: You must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada. Applications from refugees/asylum seekers currently residing in Canada will also be considered in this constituency. (Students who are attending a Canadian university on a student visa are not eligible to apply).
b. Residency: You must be domiciled in Canada
c. Age: Upon October 1, 2025, you must meet either of the criteria below:
i. You must be at least 18 and have not reached your 24th birthday (i.e. you must have been born after October 1, 2001 and on or before October 1, 2007).
OR (for older candidates who completed their first undergraduate degree later than usual)
ii. You must have not reached your 27th birthday (i.e. have been born after October 1, 1998) AND your first undergraduate degree must have been (or will be) awarded on or after October 1, 2024.
d. Academic achievement: You must have completed (or will have completed by July 2026) an undergraduate degree from a college or university (normally a bachelor’s degree) to a sufficiently high standard to be admitted to postgraduate study at the University of Oxford. In this respect, please note carefully the requirements for your chosen course at Oxford.
