Applications are now open for the RMIT University 2025 Dr Glenn Baxter Memorial Scholarship. For Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) students in third or fourth year in 2025 with a preference for those experiencing circumstances impacting their study; worth up to $10,000
Dr Glenn Baxter was a former Senior Lecturer at RMIT and was instrumental in establishing the curriculum for the Aviation course. Glenn also became a Honorary Research Fellow at the Suan Dusit University, Thailand. Prior to his academic career Glenn spent over 30 years in management roles with several Australian and International Airlines. Since his retirement from RMIT he continued to research and regularly publish journal articles on a range of airport and airline related topics. Glenn had a book published in 2023 on AI-based passenger forecasting utilising six airports throughout the world.
After a life dedicated to Aviation, Glenn unexpectedly died in 2023 at the age of 67. In memory of Glenn and to honour Glenn’s legacy, his sister Julie has established the Dr Glenn Baxter Memorial Scholarship.
