SDU 2025 Scholarships for Engineering Master's Students

SDU offers a limited number of scholarships to non-EU/EEA students. Scholarships can only be awarded for specific Engineering Master’s programs.

Programme-specific scholarships

Through the generous donation from the local robotics industry in Odense, a limited number of scholarships are available for highly qualified applicants on the Master's programme in Robot Systems

Danish Government Scholarship

The Danish government offers a limited number of scholarships through the Danish Government Scholarship programme to highly qualified applicants in recognition of the important investment that overseas students make during their education.

About University of Southern Denmark

The University of Southern Denmark was established in 1998 through a merger involving Odense University, the Southern Denmark School of Business and Engineering and South Jutland University Centre. On 1 January 2006, Odense University College of Engineering was incorporated into the University of Southern Denmark, establishing the Faculty of Engineering. Aim and Benefits of Programme-specific scholarships

The scholarship is granted as a full tuition fee waiver and will cover the tuition fee for two years. Note that fee waiver covers 30 ECTS per semester. If the number of courses exceed 30 ECTS they are not covered by the fee waiver.

Requirements for Programme-specific scholarships Qualification

To be eligible for a scholarship, please note: 

  • You must submit your application for admission no later than February 1 - even if you have a Danish residence permit
  • Your application must include all necessary documentation at the time of submission (i.e. it must not be necessary for SDU to ask for further documentation)
  • If you have applied for more than one programme at SDU, you will only be considered for the scholarship if the Master's programme in Robot Systems is your highest priority

Your application must include:

  • Application deposit fee receipt
  • Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian – must include grades and ECTS/units/credits for each course
  • Course descriptions for the courses on your transcripts
  • Self-assessment form which is available under entry requirements and admission
  • Proof of English language proficiency

Aim and Benefits of Danish Government Scholarship

The scholarship is granted either as full or partial tuition fee waiver.

A partial tuition fee waiver covers the tuition fee for one year (second and fourth semester), and you must pay tuition for the first and third semester. Note that fee waivers cover 30 ECTS per semester. If the number of courses exceed 30 ECTS they are not covered by the fee waiver.
