SOAS University of London Dr Mai Yamani Scholarship 2026

Dr Mai Yamani Scholarships are open to applications from new international students and will provide tuition fees and support living and study costs. This scholarship is now open for the 2026/27 academic year. These scholarships are open to new international students of all nationalities. Priority will be given to students who are ordinarily resident in Palestine, Iraq or Yemen.

SOAS University of London Masters Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of SOAS University of London Masters Scholarship

• Each award will provide tuition fees in full and a stipend of up to £17,340 to support living and study costs. There will also be one Dr Mai Yamani Scholarship available with accommodation provided by GoodEnough College. This scholarship will cover tuition fees in full, accommodation and up to £3,340 to be paid to the awardee.

Requirements for SOAS University of London Masters Scholarship Qualification

• The scholarship is open to Overseas/International applicants only.
• Any full-time (1 year) taught master’s degree programme beginning in 2026/27.
• Part-time and 2-year courses are not eligible.
• Applicants will need to demonstrate financial need in their application.
• Scholarship applicants must have applied to SOAS but are not required to have received an offer of admissions by the scholarship deadline. An offer will need to have been received by the time the relevant panel meets to discuss scholarship applications.
• Please note that this scholarship does not cover funding for pre-sessional courses.

Preference will be given to applicants who are ordinarily resident in Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen.

• Candidates will be assessed by a Selection Panel based on academic merit, financial need and other information included in your application.
• The assessment of your application will be based on the information provided in both your scholarship application and in your online application for admission.

Step one

• Apply for your programme. To apply for a postgraduate course, please see?Taught Masters applications.

Step two

• Apply for the scholarship. You must do so by 12 noon (UK local time) on 2 March 2026. You must apply for this scholarship via the admissions portal. You will need to have applied for a course to get login credentials for this.
