The Sobeys & Empire scholarship program was created to nurture the careers of deserving student. We are committed to developing talent within the company. Every year, we award an average of 40 scholarships worth $1,500 each to qualified students across Canada.
Scholarships are available to full-time students completing their high school education or attending a Canadian college or university. Applicants must have worked for Sobeys or affiliates for a minimum of six months or 500 hours as of April 30th each year. An academic average of 70% or higher in the most recent semester is required.
To apply for a scholarship, use the online Program Application Form and tell us about yourself. We’ll also need some paperwork confirming school enrollment and your most recent transcript. Submissions are accepted March 22nd to May30th, followed by interviews, with awards given in the summer.
