Stipendium Scholarship for International Students 2025 at the Eötvös Loránd University

Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship program for foreign students launched by the Hungarian Government in 2013. The program aims to promote cultural understanding and economic and cultural relations between Hungary and other countries.

Aim and Benefits of Stipendium Scholarship

• Full exemption from application and tuition fees.
• Accommodation: Dormitory placement or HUF 40,000/month allowance.
• Monthly stipend: HUF 43,700 (Bachelor’s and Master’s) or up to HUF 180,000 for doctoral students during the dissertation phase.
• Free health care services and private health insurance.
• Free visa and residence permit administration.
• Full library access.

Requirements for Stipendium Scholarship Qualification

• Citizens from nearly 80 eligible countries with sending partner agreements with Hungary.
• Applicants for full-degree or partial (exchange) studies.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Stipendium Scholarship

Selection is based on academic performance, eligibility criteria, and the strategic goals of the sending and receiving institutions.

Duration 

• Bachelor’s: 3–3.5 years
• Master’s: 2 years
• Doctoral: 4 years (2+2 years for research and dissertation phases)
• Preparatory courses: 1 year

1. Choose your program at ELTE.
2. Apply online via the official Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship portal.
3. Submit all required documents by January 15, 2025, 14:00 CET.
