Swansea University’s Department of Physics has a call for STFC funded PhD scholarships in 2022 in Particle Physics and Cosmology Theory. Research can be done in any of the interests of the Particle Physics and Cosmology Theory group including:
 

• AdS/CFT, holography and Integrability
• Dualities in Quantum Field Theories and String theory
• Amplitudes in gauge and supergravity theories
• Theoretical cosmology and gravitational waves
• Hot and dense QCD on the lattice
• Physics beyond the standard model

This scholarship covers the full cost of UK tuition fees and an annual stipend of £15,609 for 42 months.

Requirements for Swansea University PhD Scholarship Qualification

Candidates must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level or a master’s degree with a minimum overall grade at ‘Merit’ (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University). English Language requirements: If applicable - IELTS 6.5 Overall (6.0 each comp.) or Swansea University recognised equivalent. Full details of our English Language policy, including certificate time validity, can be found here.

This scholarship is open to candidates of any nationality.
