Scholarships have provided valuable educational opportunities for people for generations. The Brittan scholarships were established by Dame Diana Brittan as a memorial to her late husband and former Chancellor of Teesside University, Lord Leon Brittan of Spennithorne PC QC DL. The funds were donated to the University by Dame Diana Brittan as a means to ensure the next generation of talented students are able to benefit from higher level education.

Aim and Benefits of Teesside University Undergraduate Scholarship

• You may be eligible for £10,000 if you are starting any three year undergraduate degree, achieve AAB and are facing financial difficulty.
• This scholarship may be relevant if you face financial difficulty during your studies. You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

Requirements for Teesside University Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

To apply for one of these scholarships you must:

• choose Teesside University as your firm choice with UCAS
• have lived in the UK for a continuous period of two years immediately before starting your course of study
• achieve AAB (or equivalent tariff)
• be applying for the first year of a three-year degree, not a foundation year
• outline your financial circumstances and how the scholarship funds will enable your studies.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Teesside University Undergraduate Scholarship

• Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.
