The New Zealand NCUK University of Waikato Bursary (hereafter Award) was established to support international students completing NCUK pathway programmes (www.ncuk.ac.uk) to progress to study at Waikato. An unlimited number of Awards are available to NCUK graduates who meet the below eligibility requirements and are progressing to face-to-face degree-level study at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

Aim and Benefits of The New Zealand NCUK University of Waikato Bursary
The value of the Award is fixed by entry level as follows (in NZD):
- Students progressing from the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) to Year 1 of all bachelor’s degrees at the University of Waikato will be awarded $15,000, paid in equal instalments of $5,000 over 3 years of tenure.
- Students progressing from the NCUK International Year One (IYOne) to Year 2 of Business and Engineering bachelor’s degrees at the University of Waikato will be awarded $10,000, paid in equal instalments of $5,000 over 2 years tenure.
- Students progressing from the NCUK Master’s Preparation Programme (MPP) to all eligible postgraduate programmes of 120pts2 or more at the University of Waikato will be awarded $5,000.

Requirements for The New Zealand NCUK University of Waikato Bursary Qualification
- To be eligible for nomination, nominees must:
- Have completed the NCUK International Foundation Year, International Year One or Master’s Preparation Programme.
- Not be classified as a domestic student.
- Not currently be enrolled at the University of Waikato.
- Not be enrolling or intending to enrol in a Master of Nursing Practice at the University of Waikato.
- Be applying to enrol for the first time into an undergraduate or postgraduate level programme at the University of Waikato.
- Have received an unconditional offer of place from the University of Waikato.
- To maintain eligibility, recipients must in all years of tenure:
- Be enrolled full-time in face-to-face study and be residing in New Zealand.
- Remain as international fees-paying students.
- Not be coming to the University of Waikato via a sponsoring body.
- Where awards are across multiple years, pass all papers in the previous year of study.
