Aim and Benefits of Victoria University of Wellington Todd Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to support a student undertaking the four-year Bachelor of Midwifery course at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Award Value is $10,000 for Students facing financial hardship

Requirements for Victoria University of Wellington Todd Scholarship Qualification

This scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents enrolling in or currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Midwifery degree programme at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Victoria University of Wellington Todd Scholarship

• The successful recipient will be selected by a committee comprising of the Head of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice, relevant academic staff members, a representative from the Todd family or their nominees. Applicants may be invited to interview. 
• Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Applicants must be intending to enrol in or already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate Bachelor of Midwifery degree at Victoria University of Wellington.
• Preference will be given to applicants experiencing financial hardship.

Additional information

• Students are expected to write a letter of thanks to the donor within one month of receiving the scholarship.

• A personal statement outlining how you meet the criteria for this scholarship, and detailing how the scholarship will impact your studies.
• Complete the online financial section with any relevant supporting documents.
• One academic reference (to be requested via the online application).

A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
