2025 International Student Winter Merit Scholarship at TMU Canada (Up to $5000)

The International Secondary School Merit Scholarship is awarded to international students who are entering their first year of full-time, four-year undergraduate degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University and demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills.

Aim and Benefits of Toronto Metropolitan University International Student Winter Merit Scholarship

Two (2) recipients | $5,000 (entrance only, non-renewable)

Please note that the funds for this award/scholarship will be applied directly to your fees if you are chosen as the recipient of this award/scholarship. 


Requirements for Toronto Metropolitan University International Student Winter Merit Scholarship Qualification

  • Applicant must be admitted into the upcoming Winter term.
  • Applicant must be an international student with valid study permits by the start of term (Winter 2025)
  • Applicant must be enrolling in a post secondary institution for the first time
  • Applicant must have applied to a full-time undergraduate program at Toronto Metropolitan University (*Collaborative Nursing applicants admitted into a college site will not be considered) (*Applicants to the Toronto Metropolitan ESL Foundation Program and the International University Foundation Program are not eligible to apply for the International Secondary School Merit Scholarships).
  • Applicant must be completing/completed a recognized and approved international secondary school curriculum.

Note:

  • International Students are eligible to apply for this award.
  • OUAC 101 applicants are not eligible for this award.
  • Applicants with a gap between their secondary school and post secondary studies are eligible to apply if their gap is no longer than one academic year.
