University College Dublin 2022 ICAT Fellowships for International Students in Ireland

Want to participate in a programme that integrates PhD research training of the highest quality with higher specialist training? Then, you must definitely check out the ICAT Programme Fellowships at Irish Clinical Academic Training established for the academic year 2022-2023.

This scholarship is exclusively offered to all excellent postgraduate clinical trainees across all disciplines of human medicine, veterinary medicine, and dentistry that want to apply for the ICAT programme. The selected students will be provided coverage of their education costs incurred to pursue an eligible programme at either of the partner universities in Ireland.

The selected candidates will be offered scholarship to undertake the ICAT programme in either of its partner universities.


Requirements for University College Dublin Fellowship Qualification

  • To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland or the United Kingdom at the time of application.
  • The applicants must be medical, dental, and veterinary specialties.

How to Apply

 

ICAT has applied to the Health Research Board (HRB) for core funding for ICAT-2. The application call for ICAT-2 fellows starting in 2022 is conditional on a successful outcome in the ongoing HRB review process and subsequent receipt of a letter of offer from the HRB.

  1. Fill in the pre-application form online (see end of this webpage)
  2. Upload a copy of your CV (please read guidelines in the form)
  3. Download the referee form and create two copies, send to your two referees
  4. Please ask your referees to return their referee forms to ICAT by the deadline
  5. Please note that application forms and references must be received by 5pm on 20th April; late applications will not be accepted.

NOTE: There is the option at the bottom of the online pre-application form to 'Save and Continue' allowing you to complete the form over multiple sittings.
