University of Adelaide 2022 SmartSat CRC HDR Scholarships

The SmartSat CRC is the largest space industry-research collaboration in Australia’s history. The SmartSat CRC is a consortium of universities and other research organisations, partnered with industry that has been funded by the Australian Government to develop know-how and technologies in advanced telecommunications and IoT connectivity, intelligent satellite systems and Earth observation next generation data services. The impact of this research will be to develop intellectual property and a specialist industry expertise that will spawn new businesses, create export economic value and generate new high-tech jobs for all Australians.

Aim and Benefits of SmartSat CRC HDR Scholarships

The Masters scholarship will be for up to 2 years; PhD scholarship will be for up to 3 years and has a stipend starting from $28,597pa (Indexed annually)


Requirements for SmartSat CRC HDR Scholarships Qualification

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia, international or onshore international students who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD/Master by Research degree at one of the university partners.  Non-residents will be considered, subject to project-specific requirements.

Eligible candidates must:

  • Have completed a relevant Bachelor degree with First Class Honours or equivalent in a related discipline, or a Masters degree that contains a significant (and relevant) research component with equivalent academic performance.  
  • Be interested in advanced telecommunications, IoT connectivity and intelligent satellite systems
