A $5,000 Scholarship for a domestic or international student
Requirements for Mark Barrow Education and Social Practice Scholarship Qualification
- To be eligible for Scholarship consideration, an applicant must be
- Enrolled, or enrolling, full-time or part-time in a masters thesis or research portfolio with a points value of at least 60 points in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, and
- Undertaking, or planning to undertake, research addressing an issue or issues about social or educational inequality relating to M?ori, Pacific peoples, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTIQTakatapui+ community, people from refugee backgrounds or from low-socio economic groups, and where students are first in their family to attend university.
- Students who are enrolled in a masters programme of more than 120 points must be enrolled in the thesis or research portfolio component at the time of take-up of the Scholarship to be eligible for consideration.
- A grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 (5.50 for M?ori and Pacific candidates) in the most recent qualifying programme is required for Scholarship consideration
- The Scholarship is tenable by a domestic or international student.
