University of Bath 2026 The Accommodation Bursary

If you are an undergraduate student starting your studies in September 2025, you may be entitled to an Accommodation Bursary from the University of Bath.

The Accommodation Bursary

Aim and Benefits of The Accommodation Bursary

Students with a household income of up to £30,000 are eligible for a Bath Bursary or Gold Scholarship, and can receive £750 off their first-year accommodation costs as part of their funding packages.

Students with a household income of between £30,000.01 and £62,377 are eligible for an accommodation fee reduction of up to £1,300.

Requirements for The Accommodation Bursary Qualification

To be eligible for the £1300 Accommodation Bursary, you must meet all of the following:

• you are an eligible new first-year Home UK undergraduate student starting studies in 2025/26
• you are registered on a full-time undergraduate degree course
• you are a current student at the time of award and payment
• you have been housed by the University in the 2025/26 academic year
• you have a household income assessment of between £30,000.01 and £42,875

To be eligible for the £620 Accommodation Bursary, you must meet all of the following:

• you are an eligible new first-year Home UK undergraduate student starting studies in 2025/26
• you are registered on a full-time undergraduate degree course
• you are a current student at the time of award and payment
• you have been housed by the University in the 2025/26 academic year
• you have a household income assessment of between £42,875.01 and £62,377

Students residing in couples accommodation are not eligible for an Accommodation Bursary.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

There is no application process for the Accommodation Bursary. Awards will be made provided the University has received an eligible household income assessment for you and you have been housed by the University.

Once you have made Bath your Firm or Insurance choice, you will be able to check whether you are eligible for an Accommodation Bursary by logging onto the Bath Application Tracker (Student SAMIS account) and checking the Bath Financial Support Package area. Here you will be able to see whether we have received a household income assessment for you, and whether it is within one of the eligible thresholds.
