University of Bath Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL) 2026

The HESPAL programme is a unique scholarship scheme supporting the capacity-building of academics and the institutional development of higher education institutions in Palestine. It aims to foster renewed and sustainable links between Palestinian and UK universities and create lasting professional networks. The British Council Palestine and the University of Bath will jointly support up to three Master's Scholarships for September 2026.

University of Bath Masters Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of University of Bath Masters Scholarship

The scholarship covers:

• academic tuition fees through fee waivers
• a monthly stipend
• arrival and thesis allowance
• allowance to contribute towards visa, health and travel costs

Dependent costs and English language tests are not included as part of this scholarship. The allowance to contribute towards visa, health and travel costs is an additional contribution specifically for 2026 scholars only.

Requirements for University of Bath Masters Scholarship Qualification

In order to be eligible you must hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time, postgraduate taught master's course* starting in 2026.

You must also:

• be a Palestinian from the Gaza strip (including displaced Gazans)
• be employed and nominated by a Gazan university
• have achieved a high second-class or first-class bachelor's honours degree or international equivalent in your undergraduate study
