University of Bristol Sanctuary Scholarship 2026

The University of Bristol is offering funding for students from asylum-seeking and refugee communities. The scholarship is equivalent to a full tuition fee waiver and a full living cost stipend.

Aim and Benefits of University of Bristol Postgraduate Scholarship

• The Sanctuary Scholarship is intended to ensure that scholars will have available funds to cover tuition and have access to reasonable living costs for the duration of their studies.

Requirements for University of Bristol Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

You can apply if you:

• are from a refugee or asylum-seeking community
• hold an academic offer (or are awaiting a decision) to study an eligible course at the University of Bristol.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

Undergraduate applicants (including IFP and Foundation)

• You will be expected to apply for the full level of student finance if eligible.
• International foundation (IFP) and asylum seekers will not be eligible for student finance but can still apply for the scholarship. If you are awarded the scholarship the amount you receive will act as a top up of other funding to cover full tuition fees and living stipend.
• The UCAS website has information on student finance eligibility and other useful information for undergraduate applicants from refugee communities.
• Complete the application form for undergraduates. 

Postgraduate taught applicants

• You will be expected to apply for the full level of student finance if eligible. If you are awarded the scholarship the amount you receive will act as a top up of other funding to cover full tuition fees and living stipend.
• Complete the application form for postgraduates.
