Chancellor's Excellence Scholars at UCI will have the opportunity to participate in many outstanding programs designed to enhance their educational experience. Chancellor's Excellence Scholar benefits include a monetary honorarium and on-campus housing guarantee, among many others.
Students who receive this scholarship will receive an officially signed award letter through the undergraduate application portal. Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship recipients, must submit their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to the UCI Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the SIR deadline.

Chancellor's Excellence Scholars entering in Fall will receive a monetary honorarium (final amount subject to federal and state financial aid regulations). Scholars who maintain the stated academic requirements may renew the scholarship for one additional consecutive year beyond their initial year of tenure.
Chancellor's Excellence Scholars are required to enroll in and complete a minimum of twelve (12) units per quarter (Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters) at UC Irvine during their tenure as a Chancellor's Excellence Scholar and make normal progress toward a baccalaureate degree. A minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average is required to automatically renew the Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship each year.
To be eligible for the Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship, the recipient must be a U.S. citizen, an eligible non-citizen or a student qualifying under AB130 or AB131. Only students who fall under these categories are eligible for the Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship. Students must be considered a California Resident to be considered for this scholarship.
