Applicants must hold an offer of admission to any of the Masters courses specified in the link/partnership agreement between the University of Essex and ITESM.
Applicants must meet our standard admission requirements (admission through a 3+1 link agreement).
Successful students should be available for promotional activities.

Students who are not eligible
The following students are NOT eligible for this scholarship regardless of meeting the above criteria:
Students studying a postgraduate course not specified in the link agreement.
Students studying a course that is normally delivered wholly online.
Students awarded the scholarship who defer entry to following academic years will be ineligible to receive the award and will be considered in line with the terms and conditions that apply in the new proposed year of entry.
The award cannot be held in conjunction with any other University of Essex scholarships.
Students who are fully or partly sponsored by their government or other external agency and are not required to make any repayments (this does not include VISA sponsorship)
Students who are assessed as paying home tuition fees.
Current students whose first year of Postgraduate study at the University of Essex was prior to academic year 2025-26.
All students who meet the eligibility criteria and hold an unconditional offer of study for a place on any of the Masters courses specified in the link/partnership agreement between the University of Essex and ITESM by the 31 August 2025 for October 2025 start, and by the 11 October 2025 for January 2026 start will be included in the final selection.
A panel of staff of ITESM campus Monterrey will make the final selection using the information students provide on their original course application. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit only and will be given to the three students with the highest CGPA. In the case of more than three students having the highest CGPA, the selection panel will also consider the marks obtained in those modules more relevant to the Masters course the students are admitted into.
Receipt of the scholarship is subject to applicants firmly accepting the offer of study, registering as students of the University of Essex for the 2025-26 academic year, and meeting all conditions of our offer. No alternative form of the scholarship is available and the award cannot be deferred to a later year from the one for which you are admitted.
Notification
Successful applicants will be informed through their confirmation letter, by end of September 2025 for October 2025 entry, and beginning of January 2026 for January 2026 entry of any award to be offered.
If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for this award. You don’t need to complete an application form. ITESM and the University will assess your eligibility based on the academic transcripts and certificates you submit with your application for your place at Essex. No alternative supporting evidence will be accepted.
