Gillian Stead Bursary

Aim and Benefits of Gillian Stead Bursary

The Gillian Stead Bursary is paid in two GBP 1,050 installments per year, for a maximum of three years. 

You'll continue to receive the award in your second and final years of study if you have an average mark of 65 or above in each year.

Requirements for Gillian Stead Bursary Qualification

• The award is available to UK/EU undergraduate students who enter the first year of a BSc or MMath degree in mathematics and who have obtained 128 UCAS Tariff points from three A-Levels including an A in A level maths or equivalent.
• Students must maintain an average mark of 65 or above in each year of study for the award to continue into their second and third years of study.
• Applicants who achieve the set criteria do not need to apply for the bursary, they will be automatically considered. Students in receipt of the University of Hull Gillian Stead Bursary will not be eligible for the University of Hull Merit or Achievement Scholarships. The terms of the bursary are subject to review by the Department.
