The University Hull scholarship application is now open for full time study in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarships is to support widening participation students in studying the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Requirements for University of Hull Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Bursaries Qualification

Eligibility

The scholarships are being funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Office for Artificial Intelligence (OAI) and have been awarded to the University of Hull by the Office for Students (OfS).

The eligibility criteria detailed below, which are a requirement of the funding award and have been determined by the Government/Office for Students. The criteria have not been determined by the University of Hull.

To be eligible for scholarship funding, students must meet the UK Government nationality or residency status criteria:

  • UK national or Irish citizen or have settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme or indefinite leave to remain.
  • You normally live in England.
  • You’ve been living in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for 3 years in a row before the first day of the first academic year of your course

Or:

  • Are a refugee (including family members)
  • Have humanitarian protection (including family members)
  • Are a stateless person (including family members)

Scholarships are open to all applicants who meet the nationality/residency criteria above and one or more of the following criteria, with priority given to the first four groups:

  • Women
  • Black students
  • Students registered disabled
  • Students from low socio-economic backgrounds
  • Care experienced or care leaving students.
  • Estranged students
  • Gypsy, Roma and Traveller students
  • Refugees
  • Children from military families
  • Veterans and partners of military personnel

In order to be eligible you will need to have received an offer from the University of Hull’s admissions team.

All successful candidates will be required to provide documentary evidence to support their application. All decisions of the awarding panel are final and feedback will not be provided due to the volume of applications.

To apply for the award, you should first apply to study?MSc Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.?

Then,?complete the form?and answer the following questions:

  1. Why do you want to study this conversion Masters?
  2. What is your plan for joining the UK workforce after graduation? Please be as specific as possible.

When reviewing your application, we will look at personal circumstances, widening participation criteria and take into account academic background, achievements and excellence. All decisions on scholarships are both discretionary and final.?

This is a competitive scholarship scheme, and eligibility for the scholarship does not guarantee an award. The Faculty of Science and Engineering will review all applications to generate a ranked list.
