University of Kent International Award for Academic Excellence 2025

Applications are now open for the University of Kent International Award for Academic Excellence 2025. The University has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer guaranteed awards for entry at undergraduate level for students who meet certain academic requirements.

The £3,000 will be paid for the first year of study and will continue at £1,000 each year for any subsequent years of study, conditional upon maintaining a 60% or 2:1 average, up to a maximum of two further years.

Aim and Benefits of Kent International Award for Academic Excellence

£3,000 tuition fee discount for the first year of study with a further £1,000 awarded in year 2 and £1,000 in year 3, conditional upon maintaining a 60% or 2:1 average.

Requirements for Kent International Award for Academic Excellence Qualification

Applicants must:

• Be entering an undergraduate degree at any stage at the University of Kent’s Canterbury or Medway campus from September 2025;
• Achieve the equivalent of ABB A level to be eligible for consideration;
• Have achieved the required grades for at least one of the qualifications specified below; and
• Have satisfied conditions of entry to the University of Kent.

Please also note the following:

• KMMS students, Medway School of Pharmacy as well as students on a programme which includes a foundation year, are not eligible for this award.
• If you are awarded the Kent International Award for Academic Excellence, you must accept the terms and conditions on KentVision by 15 September.
• This award cannot be used in conjunction with any other award, except the Law and Business Africa Challenge. Should you apply for a higher value scholarship and be successful then you will receive the higher value award.
• This award is also open to international students who are normally domiciled in an eligible country, but who are currently resident in the UK for purposes of study.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

There is no application form to complete.

If you have applied to the University of Kent and have attained the qualifications and grades required for the award, you will receive your award letter via your KentVision portal within a few weeks of receiving an unconditional offer.

To receive the award, you must accept the terms and conditions attached to the award letter by 15 September 2025.
