Aim and Benefits of University of Manitoba Fellowship

• The successful applicants of the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) in Canada, 2019 will receive:
  • UMGF Master’s awards: CA $14,000 per year for 12 or 24 months.
  • UMGF Doctoral awards: CA $18,000 per year for one to four years.

Requirements for University of Manitoba Fellowship Qualification

• University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) in Canada, 2019 is open to students enrolled in or plan to register in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in either the Masters or Ph.D. program as full-time students.
• Applicants must have achieved a GPA of at least 3.75 in each of the last two years.
• Applicants of the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) in Canada, 2019 must show assurance as graduate students and researchers.
• The program that the applicants registered in/admitted to must qualify for tri-council graduate student awards. 
• Candidates must not be in receipt of other scholarships that provide equal or greater amount than the UMFG award.
• Candidates applying for University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) in Canada, 2019 must have got past the provisional admission as a master’s or Ph.D. student or have been admitted without provision.
• Full-time status must be maintained by the students within their graduate program.
• Candidates enrolled in two programs as full-time students are ineligible.
