The Geoffrey Blainey Scholarship for Honours in Economic History was established in honour of Professor Blainey, one of Australia's most prominent economic historians, and is offered to students enrolled in the Economics honours program whose research is informed by Economic History.

• This scholarship provides a living allowance valued at the Net Annual Income of the trust.
• It is paid in two equal instalments: upon acceptance of the scholarship offer and upon submission of the final draft of the thesis, usually in week 12 of semester.

Requirements for University of Melbourne Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• Be enrolled in the Economics honours program within the Faculty of Business and Economics
• Be pursuing research informed by Economic History

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Melbourne Undergraduate Scholarship

• Selection will be based on the quality of the proposed research topic and its relationship to economic history, as well as the student’s academic record of study in the field of economic history and all other subjects.
