University of Melbourne Hope and Tony Saba Scholarship 2027

The Hope and Tony Saba Scholarship was established with a gift from Michael Saba and is awarded to domestic students who are enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to students from a refugee background.

Requirements for Hope and Tony Saba Scholarship Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
• Have applied for and met entry requirements for the Doctor of Medicine via Graduate Access Melbourne
• Be enrolled in the first year of the Doctor of Medicine in the year of the award.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Hope and Tony Saba Scholarship Postgraduate Scholarship

• The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest based on their Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) application.
• Preference will be given to students with a refugee background if ranked fifth or higher.
• In the event of a tie, the scholarship will be awarded to the candidate with the highest course entry score.

Conditions

This scholarship cannot be deferred to the following academic year. Recipients must:

• Maintain an academic status of Good Standing
• Agree to the University providing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship by submitting an official statement of thanks.
