Requirements for Undergraduate Freshman Scholarships Qualification

• High school seniors graduating in 2025.
• Students must be fully admitted to Southern Miss as full-time freshmen for the fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
• Applicants must submit a completed FAFSA for most scholarships.
• Students classified as readmitted or transfer students are not eligible for freshman scholarships.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Undergraduate Freshman Scholarships

Selection is based on:

• Cumulative high school GPA (calculated on a 4-point scale).
• Standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) are taken through the senior year.
• Honors College admission consideration is based on these same criteria.
