The purpose of the Scholarship is to attract new high-achieving international students from priority target markets, studying in a range of fields that are linked to priority sectors and industries for Western Australia. The scholarship is worth $50,000 and will be applied against successful applicant's fee and tuition accounts across the duration of a student's program in semester installments. One scholarship will be awarded to a successful international student studying at The University of Notre Dame Australia each semester until 2026.

Requirements for Western Australian Premier's University Scholarship Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
- Have received a letter of offer for a new enrolment* as an onshore international student, undertaking full-time studies (minimum two years) at one of Western Australia’s five Universities, commencing in Semester 1 2026 or Semester 2 2026, or a start date after 1 January 2026 applicable to the student’s course of study (for PhD students).
- Have met the criteria to obtain an international student visa for study in Australia, arriving in the State of Western Australia (the State) and commencing studies onshore in 2026 in the semester for which they have applied.
- Be commencing studies directly in an undergraduate or postgraduate program and not via a packaged, foundation or English language pathway.
- Be prepared to decline any other scholarships they may have been previously granted by the University, State or Commonwealth if successful in being awarded a WA Premier’s University Scholarship.
- Be applying to the University as an international fee-paying student.
- Be a citizen of one of the following countries and make their application to the University from outside of Australia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, China, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, the Philippines, Republic of Korea (South Korea), Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
- Be studying at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle campus for the duration of their program
- Each participating university will determine which levels of study are eligible to apply.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Western Australian Premier's University Scholarship Undergraduate Scholarship
The Scholarship is awarded to the applicant who, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, best demonstrates through their application and supporting documentation:
- Demonstration of a high-level of academic achievement as determined by the University of Notre Dame
- Applicants may require additional qualitative assessment by responding to qualitative questions either through written or interview form.
Applications must be made via the University application form
Selections will be made based on assessment of the application and any supporting documentation
All applicants will be notified of an outcome via email.
The University reserves the right not to award the scholarship.
