University of Queensland Calboonya Legacy Information Technology and Computer Science Scholarship 2026

The University of Queensland Calboonya Legacy Information Technology and Computer Science Scholarship was established in 2019 this scholarship is maintained by a gift from a UQ Bachelor of Computer Science (1979) alumni husband and wife, who in recognition of the encouragement they received to pursue their education would like to leave a legacy for students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to study in the areas of computer science and information technology at UQ.

Requirements for University of Queensland Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

You're eligible if you:

• are a commencing student or a prior recipient of this scholarship
• can demonstrate financial need
• do not hold a scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.

And you're enrolled, or will be enrolled, full-time in any of the following programs:

• Bachelor of Computer Science
• Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours)
• Bachelor of Information Technology
• Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours)
• Bachelor of Science (Computer Science Major)
• Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Computer Science Major)
• any dual program including the above programs.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Queensland Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of Queensland will consider:

• evidence of financial hardship
• demonstrated academic ability
• personal qualities including leadership potential, community service and engagement
• any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success.

Documents Required for Application

You'll need:

• a cover letter 
• your resume 
• a copy of your recent Year 12 report or a copy of your unofficial academic transcript (you can download this from mySI-net)
• evidence of financial hardship such as: Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.
