The University of Roehampton is pleased to be part of the South-east Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS), a consortium of 10 universities working as a Doctoral Training Partnership to offer Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) studentships.

About University of Roehampton

The University of Roehampton is based on a large parkland campus in south-west London. It became an independent university in 2004, but dates back to four teacher training colleges founded in the 19th century. These separate colleges have remained, and every student joins one of the four when they join the University. Roehampton has a highly international student body of 8,000 students from 110 different countries. Aim and Benefits of University of Roehampton SeNNS (ESRC) Studentships

The benefits for the University of Roehampton SeNNS (ESRC) Studentships Scholarship include;

  • Fully Funded Doctoral Studentships
  • Maintenance Stipend of £17,285 for maintenance and fees covered

Requirements for University of Roehampton SeNNS (ESRC) Studentships Qualification

Candidates are expected to meet the following eligibility criteria for the University of Roehampton SeNNS (ESRC) Studentships Scholarship

  • Applicants must be international students
  • Applicants must be admitted into PhD degree program.
  • Have completed their qualifying Masters program of study;
  • The award is available for courses in PhD or Master of Philosophy program offered at the University.
  • Have completed their qualifying Masters program of study;
  • Not have already completed a PhD or equivalent degree.
  • Have completed some research experience
  • Have completed an approved university degree and
  • Can meet the English language requirements.

Prospective or eligible current doctoral students AND prospective Masters plus PhD students who would like to apply for a SeNSS studentship at Roehampton must do so via the SeNSS online application system, Fluid review. Roehampton will be notified of your application automatically via Fluid review. You will also need to complete the Roehampton online application. If you have been in contact with a member of academic staff and are ready to make your application, please go straight to the Online Application Portal.
