Aim and Benefits of University of Sheffield Undergraduate Scholarship
- This is a competitive award applied as a tuition fee discount of £10,000 in the first year of study and £2,500 in each subsequent year subject to meeting progression criteria.
Requirements for University of Sheffield Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
- You must commence your studies of an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in September 2026. All undergraduate degree courses are included except for Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
- You must choose the University of Sheffield as your firm or insurance choice before 4.00pm (UK time) on Wednesday 3 June 2026.
- You must be currently studying at a GEMS School at the point of application.
Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Sheffield Undergraduate Scholarship
This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. A panel of senior members of university staff will select the strongest applications and will be looking for the following:
- Applicant has given examples of achievements which represent excellence and initiative in educational, voluntary, or extra-curricular areas.
- Applicant has shown how these achievements relate to the course they have applied for at the University of Sheffield and connected that to their future ambitions.
- Applicant has a strong academic profile.

- To access the application form you will need to use your MUSE for applicants log in details (these will be sent to you shortly after you receive your course offer).
- The deadline to apply is 1pm (UK time) on Monday 16 Feb 2026.
- Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 16 March and will need to accept the scholarship by 4pm (UK time) on Monday 20 April 2026 or the scholarship will be offered to another applicant.
