Aim and Benefits of Oxbridge Tutorial College Undergraduate Scholarship

• This is a competitive award applied as a tuition fee discount of £10,000 in the first year of study and £2,500 in each subsequent year subject to meeting progression criteria. 

Requirements for Oxbridge Tutorial College Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

• You must commence your studies of an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in September 2026. All undergraduate degree courses are included except for Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
• You must choose the University of Sheffield as your firm or insurance choice before 4.00pm (UK time) on Wednesday 3 June 2026.
• You must be currently studying at an Oxbridge Tutorial College at the point of application.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Oxbridge Tutorial College Undergraduate Scholarship

This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. A panel of senior members of staff will select the strongest applications and will be looking for the following:

• Applicant has given examples of achievements which represent excellence and initiative in educational, voluntary, or extra-curricular areas.
• Applicant has shown how these achievements relate to the course they have applied for at the University of Sheffield and connected that to their future ambitions.
• Applicant has a strong academic profile.
• The applicant should provide a letter of recommendation from the school. The letter should highlight the student’s academic achievements, intellectual curiosity and dedication to learning, as well as personal qualities like leadership and integrity. It can include examples of teamwork, extracurricular activities, notable awards and contributions to school or community life. Specific projects or coursework examples may strengthen the letter. Most importantly, it should explain why the student deserves the scholarship and convey confidence in their future success and potential impact.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

• To access the application form you will need to use your MUSE for applicants log in details (these will be sent to you shortly after you receive your course offer). 
• The deadline to apply is 1pm (UK time) 30 April 2026.
• Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application before the end of May 2026 and will need to accept the scholarship before Wednesday 3 June 2026.
