The Burton Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of The Burton Scholarship

One successful applicant will receive:

• £4,000 per year for each of the three years of academic study
• An additional £4,000 for a Professional Training placement or integrated masters year (if undertaken).

Requirements for The Burton Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible, students must:

• Be a first-year undergraduate
• Be classified as a home/UK student
• Have a household income below £40,000.

How to Apply

Students starting the first year of their undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey in 2025 should complete all sections of the application form.

Applicants will be informed of the outcome during Semester 1.
