This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking clinical/health services research in Motor Neurone Disease (MND) that contributes to either improved healthcare delivery, improved care experiences, and/or improved quality of life for people living with MND. This Scholarship is funded by Equity Trustees Limited via The Jane Frances Hayes and Frederick Williams Hayes Charitable Trust, to be known as the ‘Hayes Award’.
This Scholarship is managed by Sydney Health Partners is a collaboration between five major health services (Nepean Blue Mountains, Northern Sydney, Sydney, and Western Sydney Local Health Districts; and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (at Westmead)), a world-leading university (the University of Sydney) and 10 affiliated medical research institutes (MRIs). Through the Partnership SHP works to implement evidence-based interventions more quickly, more often, and more consistently into routine clinical care to benefit patients and the wider community.
