Aim and Benefits of University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship

• The scholarship value and duration will be determined by the dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and will be stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to the successful recipient(s).

Requirements for University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

You must:

• be enrolled or have an unconditional offer to study a full-time coursework or research degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music
• be studying classical music
• come from a financially disadvantaged background.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship

• The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of:
  • academic merit, and/or
  • personal statement, and/or
  • demonstrated evidence of disadvantage, and/or
  • portfolio and/or performance.
• For a postgraduate research applicant, the Scholarship may also be awarded on the basis of research achievements and potential.
• Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
• The Scholarship will be awarded by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

How to Apply

• This scholarship is awarded as a merit or equity scholarship.
• For merit-based scholarships, no application is required. Students will be automatically considered as part of their admission application to the Conservatorium.
• For equity scholarships, you can apply here when applications are open.
