Under the Mobility Fellowships programme, the University of Vienna supports research stays at selected renowned universities, including its Strategic Partners. This measure is intended to expand and intensify existing contacts with colleagues at the respective host universities or to initiate new research activities.
The International Office serves as an information hub and service facility in the field of internationalisation and international relations at the University of Vienna. We support and advise members of the university in all international agendas, especially in bilateral cooperation requests. In close collaboration with the faculties, the International Office continually designs and promotes programmes for internationalisation for students, academics, scientists and general staff. The scholarship amount is € 70–90 per day. In addition, a travel allowance of € 300–1,500 is paid. A list of the scholarship rates depending on the destination can be found here.
The programme is aimed at researchers employed at the University of Vienna in the following categories:
Lecturers and senior scientists are not eligible to participate. Employment with the University of Vienna must continue for at least six months after the end of the research stay.
