University of Vienna 2026 Mobility Fellowships

Under the Mobility Fellowships programme, the University of Vienna supports research stays at selected renowned universities, including its Strategic Partners. This measure is intended to expand and intensify existing contacts with colleagues at the respective host universities or to initiate new research activities.

Mobility Fellowships

Aim and Benefits of Mobility Fellowships

The scholarship amount is € 70–90 per day. In addition, a travel allowance of € 300–1,500 is paid.

Requirements for Mobility Fellowships Qualification

The programme is aimed at researchers employed at the University of Vienna in the following categories:

• Prae-Doc (except the University of Chicago, Stanford University, King's College, Queensland University)
• Post-Docs
• Tenure Track Professors, Assistant and Associate Professors
• Univ.-Prof., ao. Univ.-Prof. (except Stanford University)

Lecturers and senior scientists are not eligible to participate. Employment with the University of Vienna must continue for at least six months after the end of the research stay.
