University of Waikato 2025 Artemis Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduate Students (Up to $7,000)

The Artemis Foundation Scholarship aims to alleviate some of the financial hardship students can face to continue with university study. The Scholarship was established in 2019 through alumnus Victor Li, who has gone on to undertake an MBA at the University of Cambridge in the UK and who wishes to support students at the University of Waikato. The Scholarship will be awarded to a University of Waikato student who intends to undertake a third or fourth year of study in an undergraduate degree in areas relating to Education or Business or Environmental Sustainability (or a combination of the three).

Aim and Benefits of University of Waikato Artemis Foundation Scholarship

To assist current University of Waikato students who demonstrate financial and/or personal hardship to continue studying towards their undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato.

One scholarship will be awarded annually, providing a tuition fees credit of $5,000 and a cash payment of $2,000.

Requirements for University of Waikato Artemis Foundation Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible applicants must:

• Be intending to enrol full-time (i.e. 120-points) in the third or fourth year of their first undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato in the year of tenure;

• Be studying in an area relating to Education, Business, or Environmental Sustainability (or a combination of the three);

• Have achieved at least a B+ average in their previous year(s) of study at University of Waikato; and

• Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident;

Previous recipients of this Scholarship may apply again, but must have passed all papers during the year they were supported by the Scholarship.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Waikato Artemis Foundation Scholarship

In selecting recipients the Selection Panel will:

1. Take into particular consideration academic potential and financial hardship and/or extraordinary personal circumstances
2. Give preference to female students as per the values of the Artemis Foundation.

To maintain eligibility recipients must:

1. Enrol full-time (120-points) in the year of tenure;
2. Be enrolled in the area relating to Education, Business or Environmental Sustainability
