University of Western Australia Harry Tambakis Memorial Scholarship 2026

Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA), in consultation with the Tambakis family, has donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to establish a scholarship, in memory of the late Harry Tambakis, to encourage and assist a high-achieving student studying Civil Engineering, to continue their studies at the University. Harry Tambakis was a Civil Engineering graduate of the University and a much-loved engineer at WGA.

Aim and Benefits of UWA Undergraduate Scholarship

• $5,000.00 to encourage and assist a high-achieving student studying Civil Engineering, to continue their studies at the University.

Requirements for UWA Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must

• (a) demonstrate
  • a genuine passion and personal interest in engineering and the role that it plays within our society;
  • creative problem solving and innovation; and
  • a balanced, well-rounded approach to life and a genuine concern for others; and
• (b) have completed at least 96 but not more than 144 points towards
  • an undergraduate degree with a major in Engineering Science, specialising in Civil Engineering; or
  • a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with a major in Civil Engineering.
