Victoria University of Wellington 2025 Izard Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1997 from a bequest from the estate of Arnold Woodford Izard.

The scholarship is offered to students enrolled in a Master's by thesis degree in any faculty at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, with the exception of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. NZSM students are still eligible to apply. This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit only.

Scholarship provides approximately $2,000 

Requirements for Izard Scholarship Qualification

Applicants must be enrolled (in the year of tenure) in a Master's degree by thesis in any faculty at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, apart from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (NZSM students are still eligible to apply).

This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit only.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
