2026 will be the first year offering the Masters of Space Science and Practice degree. To mark the start of this new post-graduate qualification, the School of Chemical & Physical Sciences offer a group of scholarships for the inaugural cohort.

Requirements for Victoria University of Wellington Masters Scholarship Qualification

• Applicants must meet the entry requirements for the Masters of Space Science and Practice degree
• Applicants must have enrolled by 21 Feb 2026 to be considered.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Victoria University of Wellington Masters Scholarship

The selection panel will consist of the Head of School (SCPS), the Programme Director for Space Science, and the SCPS Scholarships Officer.

• Applications will be awarded primarily on the basis of academic merit
• Students may also make a personal statement that may include a case for financial hardship.

• A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
